Bucket List
Can’t even believe I’m writing this, but THIS WEEK is the last week I will be dining at Blanchard (ever). So now the real question is, what should I try before leaving? Tell me what I’ve missed out on!

Welcome back from break!
This week I challenge you all to make friends with a person near you in line. You might learn something new. Example: today at lunch the girl behind me got daal and a container of shrimp from the salad station to out on top. Creative choice! I will be trying it next time, aka tonight at dinner.

Today was a win! Among other reasons, my Mary Lyon sandwich was so memorable, it was honestly a religious experience. The bagel was perfectly charred. The eggs and sausage aligned on the bagel. The cheese melted. Grilled with care.

I just want to say all this time I thought those fruit drinks were called “Adam & Eve.” Until yesterday, when I realized Blanchard doesn’t carry the Cranberry Raspberry anymore, and I’ve been relegated to Fruit Punch. And then I saw they’re called “Apple & Eve.”

Make a Pie Date!
The pie slices at Uncommon Grounds are only a dollar! Pecan, Apple, and Mixed Berry. And since it’s almost Thanksgiving, this is something you should be taking advantage of. After 9pm, the remaining slices from the day will be sold at the cafe.
I got mine with a scoop of vanilla ice cream for an extra $1.25 and it was totes worth it.

So far...
The best part of today has been the fact that someone finally fixed the front (right side) door to Blanchard. No more embarrassing myself, no more having to yank it open, no more not being strong enough to do so.

Lately
I’ve noticed a large number of Lost Boys (LBs, not to be confused with BOTLs) frequenting Blanchard and I just think we need to be more welcoming. Point them in the right direction if they look confused, or don’t know to respect the two juicebox rule.

BREAKING NEWS!!!!
Blanchard is now CLOSED form 4-5pm every single day, crushing the dreams of all post-seminar hunger attacks. No more munching after class. I’m watching the play-by-play now: everyone is coming in and seeing the doors closed, and making sad faces.
