Lantern Thai
Don’t have Thai food very ofter, but decided to try it on a whim! I had yummiest shrimp pad thai at this place. Great service, beautiful lighting (from lanterns, duh). Four forks! Two locations: Brooklyn and Manhattan. Warning: if you check out the website to look at menus, mute your computer. The music is hard to cope with. xoxo, The Blanchaholic

Living the Dream.
With popsicle in hand at the High Line in Chelsea.  It’s pink limeade.  But there are lots of choices at this Mexican homemade popsicle cart (here is a behind the scenes look at how they are made). La New Yorkina. Literally $4 a pop.  xoxo, The Blanchaholic

The President's Letter to the Community
For those of you who never read school emails and scroll right to the bottom, or delete the message upon arrival, this one’s for you. Our President, Lynn Pasquerella (or whatever cute nickname you have for her), recently sent out a letter about what she has been up to and what is in the works for the college. July 18th’s message discussed a variety of topics including her travels, the...

The Secret Life of Panera Bread
When I am home, Panera is a staple in my life. At school, I really miss it and there is a large Frontega chicken panini void in my life. Until now! Panera Bread has arrived in New York City. And everyone is a little slow on the uptake. The other night I was there for dinner and I think there were a total of two other people there with me. Whatever, more for me.  Favorite menu items (the...

Thalia
I don’t really know what “American Fusion” means, but this restaurant is chic and yummy.  My duck spring rolls: A crabcake with corn salsa: It’s in the theatre district…so go to escape the madness that is Times Square. I hate people. xoxo, The Blanchaholic

This Week's Discoveries:
1. I already talked about Pret…and turns out they make yummy panini-like sandwiches, called “Toasties.” Adorable. And probably low calorie. I got pesto, tomato, fresh mozzerlla, and spinach on toasted 12-grain (Blanchard I miss you!). Vegetarians, THIS IS FOR YOU! 2. Whole Foods is the king, excuse me, QUEEN, of grocery stores. And I think Katie Holmes would agree with me -...

Brunch is not just a meal...
I actually consider it a full-on hobby. Today I had some of the yummiest challah french toast at The Spring Street Natural Market in SoHo. Plus, fresh berries (aren’t raspberries just the best in the summer?) and chicken + apple sausage.  xoxo, The Blanchaholic

Another Favorite at the Chelsea Market
Stop by The Green Table for an incredibly fresh farm-to-table meal.  The seating is cozy and candlelit. I got the burger with tomato relish (so sweet!) and bacon on top. Perfect. It came with a great salad on the side with tangy dressing. My friend got the grilled cheese that was nicely charred and a side of gazpacho. Definitely recommend! A+ burger - I even told them that on the survey they...
