Can’t even believe I’m writing this, but THIS WEEK is the last week I will be dining at Blanchard (ever). So now the real question is, what should I try before leaving? Tell me what I’ve missed out on!

Can you imagine if Blanchard sold Nutella in those little cups they currently dish out Hummus in? They’d make bank.

Hope everyone’s semester is off to a pleasant start. As pleasant as single digit temperatures can be. Which, begs the timeless question, why doesn’t Blanchard deliver? Or better yet, why do people live here by choice?
I would like to say, though, that the Blanchard chefs were in rare form this evening. And by that, I mean doing their jobs. Plus, standing up noticeably straight, on their best behavior. Maybe it was the tour of elderly patrons (??). Unclear, but definitely appreciated.

Time for break! And a obligatory holiday post!
I’m in the airport about to board my flight home. Kind of excited to be A) eating things other than Mary Lyon sandwiches and B) eating better versions of Blanchard delicacies. Let me know if you find anywhere that serves pizzas in an equally personal size. That’s the only glitch I’ve hit. I’ve been on the look out for a while, and this is something that the folks at Domino’s just don’t seem to understand.
Have a great holiday and I will see you in Blanchard for another delish semester in 2013. I’ll be the one in the Pizza line at 6:52, tapping my foot.

Remember when campus looked like this? And then remember how it was sunny and perfect every day this week?
Spring is coming, guys! Which in my mind, sends me straight to A) the Blanchard Cafe freezer for a Lick-a-Color sour popsicle (while I wait for them to start carrying Firecracker pops - my absolute favorite since age 3), then B) to the Blanchard patio/Lantern Green to enjoy it in the sun, every last lick.
Maybe one of these days it will get warm enough, and you can spot me outside doing just this (instead of going to class, which at times I believe is both overrated and silly).
I hope dreams of sunny spring days, sunglasses, and birdcalls dance in your head.
