Today was a win! Among other reasons, my Mary Lyon sandwich was so memorable, it was honestly a religious experience. The bagel was perfectly charred. The eggs and sausage aligned on the bagel. The cheese melted. Grilled with care.

Hope everyone’s semester is off to a pleasant start. As pleasant as single digit temperatures can be. Which, begs the timeless question, why doesn’t Blanchard deliver? Or better yet, why do people live here by choice?

I would like to say, though, that the Blanchard chefs were in rare form this evening. And by that, I mean doing their jobs. Plus, standing up noticeably straight, on their best behavior. Maybe it was the tour of elderly patrons (??). Unclear, but definitely appreciated.

The best part of today has been the fact that someone finally fixed the front (right side) door to Blanchard. No more embarrassing myself, no more having to yank it open, no more not being strong enough to do so.
